Coming from a wide range of musical backgrounds and with an age spread that exceeds four decades, the band is composed of internationally touring musicians that have played and toured with the likes of legends such as Chaka Khan, Maceo Parker, and Teddy Pendergrass.
Pine Needle Soul is a 6-piece hip hop band from Rochester NY, blending funk, jazz, soul electronic & rock music into a unique, high energy live experience. Consisting of an MC, guitarist, keyboardist, saxophone/flute, drummer & bassist, Pine Needle Soul absorbs influences from artists such as Anderson .pakk, The Free Nationals, Thundercat, D’Angelo, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Papadosio & Lotus.
